This policy explains what data Backgammon Battles collects and how we use it. We aim to collect as little as possible.

What we collect

Account: your username and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
Email (optional): if you provide one, used for account security, password reset, and important updates, and (only if you opt in) promotional messages.
Phone (optional): if you verify a phone number, we store a one-way hash of it (not the number itself) to confirm one account per person.
Gameplay: your matches, moves, ratings, trophies, and Battle Bucks ledger.
Technical: IP address and basic request logs, used for security, abuse prevention, and reliability.

How we use it

To operate the Service: run matches and matchmaking, maintain ratings and leagues, secure accounts, prevent fraud and abuse, process Battle Bucks, and communicate with you. We do not sell your personal data.

Consent & marketing

Account and security emails are part of the Service. Marketing emails are sent only with your separate, explicit opt-in, and every marketing message includes an unsubscribe option.

Your rights

You can export a copy of your data and close your account at any time from your profile settings. Closing your account anonymizes your identifying information; we retain transactional and anti-fraud records as required by law and for the integrity of other players' game history.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect against cross-site request forgery. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Payments

Battle Bucks purchases are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card details.
